Title: The Value of Honesty
Once there lived a poor farmer in a small village. One day, while returning home from the local market, he unexpectedly found a heavy leather bag full of money lying on the quiet road. He was deeply surprised and confused, considering his own financial struggles at home. Although he was poor and needed the money, his conscience guided him to do the right thing.
After standing there for some time, he heard a distressed voice nearby. A rich merchant was frantically searching the bushes and crying over his lost bag. The farmer immediately walked up to him and returned the cash bag safely. The rich man was thrilled and relieved, instantly offering a generous financial reward to the honest farmer.
The farmer accepted only a small amount to cover his basic family needs and returned home happily. Soon, the villagers heard about his noble action and began to deeply respect him. The humble farmer became an enduring example of integrity for the entire community.
Moral: Honesty is the best policy.
